Tuesday, August 28, 2007

Drove from Clackamas, Oregon south to Ashland. Had a wonderful lunch and wandered all over town. The Shakespeare matinees had already started and there weren't any evening performances. Maybe next time.

I left Ashland early and drove south on I-5, entering California passing Mt. Shasta.

Wednesday, August 29, 2007

I stopped in Redding at the Sundial Bridge. This is an amazing piece of architecture. It crosses the Lower Sacramento River at the north end of Redding. It seems that to be allowed to build this bridge they were required to minimize the shadow that the bridge left on the water below to decrease the impact it had on the Salmon spawning areas under the bridge.
